Ball Joint is an automotive component designed with a high precision spherical roll bearing enclosed in a steel casing used to join the control arm and steering knuckles and serve as a point of turning between the wheels and suspension. It is commonly used in the front side suspension of a vehicle but also can be attached with the rear side suspension as it plays an integral part in smooth driving flow between steering and suspension.

It normally consists of upper ball joint and lower ball joint for providing a balanced stability to the car suspension and making it easy to drive on uneven road surfaces. The core benefits of using ball joints are supporting vehicle weight, pivoting vehicle wheels, balancing steering control, vibrating noise prevention, and proper indication of tire wear damage to the vehicles.
